Filters (otherwise known as views) can be used to filter out the the desired records out of a huge list of other records and put them in a separate list so you can easily view them. For example you could filter records based on a certain area, this way you only get to see the records that originate from that area in a separate list, from here you could mass select all them and perform actions such as editing, deleting, sending E-mails, assigning a sales agent and much more to only those records.
