What is Field Mapping?
Field Mapping is a setting, with this setting you can tell the program to automatically fill in fields if you make a record from a corresponding record. For example if you make a Sales Order from a Quote. This way you don’t have to manually fill in all the fields in the sales process.
Before you can set up Field mapping you need to make sure that the fields in the records you are trying to couple the fields in have the same values. For example if you want to map Quotes Subject to Invoices Subject the picklist needs to have the same values in the same order with the same name.
